William Gregson makes North West team

Stockport Table Tennis Academy's William Gregson has been selected for the North West under 11s and under 12s for the upcoming English National Championships.
This weekend, at the North West Trials, nine year-old William Gregson, qualified in first place for the under 11s team, remaining undefeated after a series of trials matches against the region's most promising young players. The following day, William capped a successful weekend by also qualifying for the under 12s.
Stockport Table Tennis Academy's Head Coach, David Hulme, said: "William has been training hard all season and fully deserved his success at the regional trials this weekend. He has been competing for two years now, including competing against older opponents and gaining really valuable experience. William is one of the region's brightest prospects and we wish him well at the forthcoming National Championships."

William Gregson started playing table tennis aged eight and is a founding member of Stockport Table Tennis Academy.
The National Championships takes place on June 2nd in Tipton, West Midlands. The complete under 11s squad is: William Gregson, Bill Barley, Ciaran Moody and Alexander Flint. The complete under 12s squad is: Sam Walsh, Daniel Olsberg, Owen Bendall and William Gregson.
